I like to look at a man and make decisions by the company that man keeps. Seeing how Vanderboegh and Rawles are so chummy and all. So I decided to take a close look at the GODFATHER….. Mr. Rawles, Interesting that he makes soooooo much money pimping doom. Hey don’t get me wrong I am a firm believer in capitalism. Perhaps we need to play the seed pimp game once again.
I opened up one of his advertisers for garden seed, guess what? I could not find one reference on what the seed weighed…… plenty of different types of packages offered, yet zero weights or measure were given, mmmmmnnnnnn.

Here is a picture of three of those varieties taken from his list, I used lettuce seed as an approximation as to what most of his varieties would look like, E.g. endive, carrots, chive, onion, cabbage etc. Shown in my picture is 188 each of lettuce, peas, and spinach.
The peas would be the larger seed of most of the offered, as a courtesy I am weighing the larger pea seeds for my means or average. Here is a picture of the three seed varieties at 188 count each. Just under two ounces if we then take the average (Heavy average) and do the math…. it’s 18 divide it by 3 and then 6 x 2 ounces = 12 ounces, now remember this is a very heavy average because I am using the larger pea seeds. The real total would probably be around 6 ounces for about 100 bucks.
I could do this all day long, So the Godfather has become a multi millionaire selling ad space and hocking wares, the entire time fleecing the unwashed. Yet Mr. Rawles has the audacity to tell us how we should or should not live our lives concerning the Citadel and or Three Arms, folks this is duplicity, it is highway robbery and it stinks to high heaven.
Six fucking ounces of seed for 100 bucks….. you have got to be shitting me. Perhaps the Godfather needs to learn how to mind his own damn business, or perhaps he can go ask Sopsey how the hell the Feds have not confiscated his guns yet.
Now you know why there is ZERO MENTION OF PACKAGE WEIGHTS. Hey Rawles…. GO FUCK YOURSELF.

I think Mr. Rawles (or is it Mr. ,Rawles) thought the III Citadel might create competition. He charges big bucks for retreat consultations. Bunch of Patriots get together build many retreats, now instead of 1 or 2 consultants you have 100’s. Now you have to price competitively to get the gigs.
I thought that was the way capitalism was supposed to work, but what do I know.

i realize this is seed for a fall garden, but…damn, nutrition ways you would starve to death if this is all you grow. same with most other “dooms day” seed bundles. as a self sustainable gardener i urge you to grow
1)what you will eat…i hate rutagaga, so those seeds would be a waist of time and money
2) what will grow in your area..snow peas don’t do well in arizona any time of year
3) what will provide the nutrition you and your family need to not only survive, but to thrive.
corn bread, beans, potatoes, and cabbage isn’t a sexy diet, but it will keep you alive and healthy for a long, long time, and can be grown most everywhere in north america. yes, you will have to grow other veggies for proper balance, but these 4 can be a suitable base diet for most people with proper planning, crop management, and irrigation 5k sq. ft. or less can very well feed a family of four. add a few chickens and a milk goat or twa and you are pretty well set
Well, dern. I read this and went into the next room to retrieve my Everlasting Seeds “The Complete Garden In A Can” which I bought probably 3 or 4 years ago and haven’t looked at since and goodness, gracious, sakes alive there is no weight visible, but I sure did get a lot of different seeds according to the label at my 35% disabled veteran discount for maybe $100 back then, can’t remember. At any rate, I’ve got them and will see what I really have if/when the SHTF.:)
